On New Education Policy 2020:

The syllabus of the courses in engineering too need to be revisited and revised to focus on enabling specific skills pertaining to each semester. The quality of practical orientation in the focus of syllabus during each and every semester is a critical criterion that vouches economic demand for certificate/vocation/diploma/degree obtained by the candidate.

Unless and until each semester vouches practical know-how and technical noesis in the candidate, the certificate/vocation/diploma/degree bears no merit in the industry. If the candidate can opt out of first year with a certificate, to pursue some other relevant course that suits one's choice, but with no practical acumen; becomes a discarded and failed material.

As on date, when even the quality of PhD thesis has downgraded significantly in the country, it is essential to ensure, the quality up-gradation of faculty members on relevant skills, in engineering colleges. Without investing efforts & resources to achieve the above; implementing NEP2020 is akin to a fantastic dress on a dead body!

A candidate with too many certificates that vouch no practical acumen is useless.

On the practice of corporal punishment in schools -

Teachers in schools indulging in corporal punishment must be incarcerated. Corporal punishment is an experience for kids that instill in their minds that violence is an acceptable method to fulfill one's objectives. 
Providing the students - kids, the experience of violence in the name of corporal punishment - teach them that violence is a path to achieve one's objectives. Corporal Punishment is a serious & grave offence. Corporal Punishment indicates the lack of ability in teachers to lead, mentor and succeed with the aid of empathy, compassion & love. Corporal punishment is a reflection of the drained and exhausted attitude of teachers.

India preaching Ahimsa & Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam to the entire world; with its teachers resorting to corporal punishments on innocent kids is an oxymoron.
