Sex sells! The primordial demand. If the film industry even after so much technological improvements still bank on it; the term "improvement" loses meaning & value! Yesteryears glam-girls bid adieu to saree and sported blouse and petticoats – the glamour statement. Yesteryear's USP of a movie is a rape scene; because living together was socially unacceptable then. Today, heroines adorn the role of glam-girls too; exposing brassiere and panties – the glamour statement. Today's USP of a movie is a lip-lock scene; because living together has become the trend now.
Tomorrow, if nudity of girls in movies become the glamour statement; what next? Would it be justified stating that sexual intercourse is as basic as hunger!? Then; how is a human different from animals? Dare to call this dignified behaviour? What kind of a human is one, who reveals skin without restraint in public; and terms it as highbrow?
Soaring technological developments is dumping the ethical and moral values of humans. The film industry provides a faithful reflection. If partial nudity in the present; and complete nudity in future is the substance of demand generation in a movie; then what next? Though I appreciate the talent and creativity of the professionals of the film industry; the single drop of poison that spoils the entire ocean of milk is their pro-nudity attitude aiming at demand generation!
The best way to break even on cost is to minimise the duration of a movie and focus precisely on the plot and the making. Interesting ideas and stories is the peg upon which sustained demand can be created.
