SGR43

The essence of any religious celebration is to remind us that we should adhere to Truth and Justice; than selfish pursuits. Ganesh epitomises humility and simplicity. Even a piece of clay or dung or turmeric is sufficient to represent.
Life story of Ganesh epitomises humility. Fruit of Gnana is the result of humble surrender to the Guru than believing in one's possessions. Kandan believed in the might of his possession - Peacock and its ability to circumambulate the universe in a jiffy. Result - a major flop and set back.
The learning that he received made him to renounce all his possessions and to do penance in Pazhani. Humility is the essence of spirituality. May we discard our pride in all our impermanent abilities and possessions to surrender at the feet of the Guru.
Any form of GOD has to be a representation of Justice, Honesty, Righteousness, Principles and Truth. Leading a life in the lines of these is real worship. Recent times have witnessed a surge in religious activities but spirituality is declining - signifies people have taken refuge in hypocrisy. There is no place to bargain a business with GOD. Self-deception. Attitude of complete surrender and faith is most important. Truth shall Triumph.
