Desires can never be extinguished through fulfilment.
Just analyse how many times we have tasted our favourite food; how many times
we have had sexual intercourse with our spouse; how many times we have adorned
our mortal frames with our favourite piece of dress and accessories; are we
able to decide, “Enough; not anymore!”?
That’s the elusiveness of desire!
Desires can be extinguished only by gaining wisdom on
the inherent ephemerality of materialistic pursuits.
