The objective of human birth is to realise the divinity inherent in oneself. Chewing tobacco, smoking cigarettes and consuming alcohol are the three prime negative habits capable of destroying the divinity in a person.
The one who has transcended desires is divine. Desires can be transcended only when one loses the sense of action and possession; “i” and “mine”. The manifestation of a desire-free mind is serene detachment at the core irrespective of the situation; and the emotions displayed then are mere superficial shadows.
This is when a person becomes a tool in the hands of the almighty and is initiated to represent the divine. Humility and the attitude of complete surrender to one’s GURU are the principal requisites to realise the divinity in oneself. As a matter of fact, the attitude of complete surrender to one’s GURU is the easiest path to transcend desires.
Profit & Loss calculation in this materialistic world is temporary and impermanent at any point of time. Any activity undertaken in this materialistic world is dependent on one’s mortal frame. How much ever one takes care to preserve and protect one’s mortal frame, ageing & death of the mortal frame is inevitable.
Taking utmost efforts to achieve the non-achievable – the preservation of the mortal frame at the cost of realising one’s divinity is the manifestation of foolishness. However, one’s mortal frame is essential to exhaust Karma and realise the divinity in oneself.
The mortal frame must be taken care of and preserved in a good condition all through life as a tool to exhaust Karma and realise one’s divinity. This is precisely the focus of Ayurveda – the Upaveda.
